Leidseplein is Amsterdam's busiest entertainment square. Around it you find Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, Melkweg, Paradiso on the Weteringschans, DeLaMar Theatre on the Marnixstraat, Holland Casino on the Max Euweplein and the American Hotel.
A taxi is the practical choice here, especially at night when trams and metros run a limited service. The square combines one-way streets, tram tracks and car-free sections, and our drivers know where stopping is allowed at any given moment.
Getting picked up after a night out
There is a taxi rank on the square, but after closing time there is often a queue. With a pre-booked ride you agree a time and a recognisable pickup point instead.
Practical pickup points nearby are the Marnixstraat, the Leidsekade and the Weteringschans. When the square is closed off, the driver calls you with a spot just outside the closure.
- Drop-off as close to your theatre, hotel or club as traffic allows
- Available late at night and on public holidays
- Minivan for groups of up to 8
